Azalea Hall is a five-story, 408-room student housing facility located on the campus of Mississippi State University. The hall was constructed using a concrete podium slab for the second level, with pre-fabricated panels supporting the structure from atop the podium slab to the roof. FLC produced and pre-fabricated 21,580 linear feet of panels at our off-site construction facility in Fulton, MS. These panels utilized TSN’s StiffWall columns as load transfer members in the shear walls at each level. In addition to the load-bearing framing, FLC installed over 500,000 square feet of interior gypsum board, 65,000 square feet of exterior gypsum sheathing, and 45,000 square feet of acoustical ceilings.
Azalea Hall’s substantial completion date is June 23, 2025, with a final completion date of July 31, 2025. The hall will be operational for students to reside in for the Fall 2025 Semester.
